Johnny Ragland has over 40 years experience in the restaurant and bar industry. Born and raised in Irving, Texas, Johnny has been a local entrepreneur in the hospitality industry starting in the 1970’s leading to his dream restaurant, JR’s Steak and Grill.
The restaurant décor, which is a new and improved combination of modern class and traditional steakhouse, provides an elegant atmosphere, professional service and an unparalleled dining experience.
Executive Chef Todd Phillips, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, has spent the past 20 years forging his skills in kitchens across America. He has many achievements, such as winning the “Forth Worth, Texas” magazine’s 2014 Top Chef Competition and 2017’s Top Chef People’s Choice. Working at Reata, the Ritz-Carlton and Canyon Ranch Spa enabled him to create inventive dishes that offer guests a veritable feast of flavors.
Alongside Owner Johnny Ragland, he opened JR’s Steak and Grill in 2004 as the sole Executive chef and continues to deliver powerful flavors and superbly prepared dishes to the Colleyville area. Whether it’s a unique take on a fresh starter or a classic dish prepared like no other, Chef Todd never disappoints.
